Perception
Is it a God Send or is it a two headed dragon? If a Dragon be, wrestle with it! For therein lies seeds of compassion, wisdom and truth.
Angels good,?? Yeah that’s our perception, but they are also warriors. Maintaining goodness in a troubled world ain’t easy. And I truly hope you know that, cause if you do, it means you’re at least trying
Perception and truth….two of the most ‘key worthy ‘ words in the English language or any other (your cue to do that research)
In our last Sundays post I asked if you remember Prayers of your youth, and I shared a particular prayer of mine.
Well, just now I prayed for perception, clarity, compassion and wisdom to do God’s will to manage present challenges with grace and strength esp the latter, as it is my ‘key ‘worthy’ word to hold my place and maintain self respect and reliance…… whoop there it is ‘ a DE ism)
Dancing too close to the edge of this great spinning ball necessitates that one either accept the inevitable or fight ‘tooth and nail’ against it.
In recent posts I used several phrases, images and videos to describe….. the ‘unnamed’ Here and now I will place lines, phrases and other DE idioms from past and present works and invite you to share your perceptions, in other words what does the line or phrase mean…to you.
When I started writing again a few years ago, and I say ‘writing’ as in putting pen to page, because ever since my experience with the ‘leads’ I hadn't done anything creative. All songs, plays, verse, Operas scripts and productions remained off the page. I remember the day that all changed!
When that brilliant day dawned, I wrote a small verse for the one I now call muse. I was pleased with the verse I created, and I wanted so much to call my muse and get their reaction, but I didn’t and I’m glad I didn’t. Although I valued the opinion of my muse, and accepted all that would transpire, I knew that once I released the work I no longer had any control over how it was perceived. Maybe now you may have some insight into why an Artist reserves the right to withhold any comment on his or her work…..this is your personal opportunity to share your perceptions and receive ‘answers’ if you will, from the source////thata be ME😊
Now dear readers, if you choose to not comment at all this venture won’t work. But as Artists we are the ever flowing font of creativity and energy, so here’s to throwing something at the wall and……..?
